CERX MIRANDA DE EBRO

Pepe Arqué concluded this past weekend of 2 and 3 December an exceptional season in his participation in the Spanish Rallycross Cup, which the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation convened for the second consecutive year, and in which he was proclaimed champion of the CERX XC category with his Speed Car Wonder after winning all the semifinals and finals disputed this year without making any mistake, showing a perfect mastery of a modality in which it is necessary to be a good strategist, because the management of each step through the 'Joker Lap' is vital to achieve a good result and in that the Catalan driver has not failed.

The races held at the Antonio Vadillo circuit in the town of Miranda de Ebro in Burgos were not going to allow any mistake for the driver from Martorell, whose independent scores were expected to be decisive for the final result. However, the weather conditions, with a lot of rain during the previous night, complicated the first of them where Pepe Arqué won in the qualifying and in his semi-final with the track improving as the day progressed. This allowed him to start from the front row in a final that he ended up clearly dominating to take his first win of the weekend.

On Sunday, with the track in better condition, Pepe Arqué was the fastest from the start, despite the fact that the presence of fog early in the morning forced him to modify the planned programme, cancelling the qualifying heats. With the always effective Speedcar Wonder, he won the qualifying round, his semi-final and the final, which he once again led with ease to conclude the season with the title of champion of the Spanish Rallycross Cup in the CERX XC category.

Pepe Arqué commented at the end of the second day that "this is a circuit that I love and I really enjoy, specially in rallycross, where I feel most comfortable. The weekend has not been easy, with changing conditions, which has forced me to adapt my driving to each moment. I would also like to dedicate these victories and the title to my mother and father, who are always helping me and supporting me in everything I do".
