AUTOCROSS LLEIDA (Spanish championship)

The 2018 Spanish Autocross Championship had at Lleida its second round the 7th and 8th of April. The adverse weather, with heavy rain, make it hard for organizers and competitors but finally all the programme of the event was done.

For Industrias Lahoz, the second round of the series went on in the positive line set at the first one, with two wins for the Speed Car, scored by Joan Enric De María in the division III and Juan José Moll in Car Cross, as well as a couple of second positions for Eduardo Sotelo and Pol Catalá in the division III and the Junior category.

DIVISION III

Joan Enric De María (1st Div.III)

Ares Lahoz (4th Div.III)

Joan Enric De María and Eduardo Sotelo on the podium

Great comeback for Joan Enric De María. The five times Spanish Autocross champion, four times in the division III, returned to racing at Lleida at the wheel of a Speed Car TTR and stamped his autority since the qualifying session, when he set the best time. Two wins in the heats on Saturday confirmed him as the main contender for the final, where he dominated from start to finish, winning and setting the fastest lap.

On the podio he was together with his team mate Eduardo Sotelo, who complete a 1-2 result for the Speed Car TTR. Very good result also for the winner at Motorland, Ares Lahoz, who finished in fourth position.
